FRANCE has taken the first step to removing the word “race” from all legislation as demanded by President Hollande in his election campaign.

The Parti Socialiste helped vote through a Front de Gauche proposition in the National Assembly and Jean-Jacques Urvoas, president of the Laws Committe said they were making sure Hollande’s promise was not forgotten.

Hollande had called for the word “race” to be taken out of the constitution, saying it had no place in the Republic.

It is part of Article 1: “France is an indivisible, secular, democratic and social republic. It guarantees equality before the law for all citizens without distinction of origin, race or religion. It respects all beliefs.”

Socialist MPs amended the original wording of the Front de Gauche proposal to highlight their opposition to racism, anti-semitism and xenophobia.

The Socialist majority rallied to the proposed law, emphasising that this was just "the first stage".

...The rapporteur of the proposed law, Alfred Marie-Jeanne, stated that the word "race", "this aberrant concept, having served as the foundation for the worst ideologies, has no place in our legal order."

The French priest attacked and beaten unconscious by a Muslim also had his mobile phone stolen, it emerges from an interview with a newspaper. Note the comments in the second paragraph seem to be from a different priest from the same parish, but they make it clear that the seemingly invincible spirit of dhimmitude survives.

"If my history can just give a shock of awareness to people, it will not have been so terrible...This type of attack happens to an enormous number of people in the district. Some "jeunes" no longer have any limits. It's the "vivre ensemble" that is in question. Not the attack of a priest in his gown."

"What we regret sincerely is that the Minister of the Interior hasn't shown himself in two days. If it had been an imam or a rabbi, he would already have been on the spot," stresses Father Marie-Christophe, an official at Saint-Jean. "We have had the support of everyone. There is a problem with some "jeunes" who are opportunists. Our attacker was indeed of North African origin, but a true Muslim wouldn't have done that. The members of the French Council of the Muslim Faith have also officially demonstrated their indignation. That doesn't prevent some people from making generalisations. And it is the silence of the politicians that is responsible."

Also, from this additional report here, it emerges that he was confronted by four Muslims and told to hand over his mobile phone. One of the Muslims then attacked him physically, while the other three just stood by and watched. Why didn't they intervene and tell the attacker he wasn't acting like a "true Muslim"?

Noureddin Ziani, accused by the Spanish government of being a Moroccan intelligence agent and of "promoting international terrorism, Salafism and radical Islam"

I have noted before the curious confluence of Mohammedanism and separatist/nationalist movements within European polities. We see this is Scotland, where the Scottish National Party has allowed its ranks to be infiltrated by stealth jihadists like Humza Yousaf, and in Catalonia where Catalan nationalists and Muslims have made common cause. There seems to be a predatory instinct within Islam that makes its adherents adept at seeking our social and psychological fractures, whether it be vulnerable children without proper parental care to be recruited as sex slaves, or secessionist movements in European state structures.

Here we have a case where a Moroccan intelligence agent was promoting both Catalan nationalism, by recruiting Muslims to the separatist cause, and, according to the Spanish government, fomenting "international terrorism, Salafism and radical Islam".

Spain’s intelligence services have ordered the deportation of a Moroccan citizen who was paid by the CDC Catalan nationalist party to fan sympathy for independence among Muslim communities in the region. National Intelligence Center (CNI) director Félix Sanz Roldán accused Noureddin Ziani, a Muslim leader, of “posing a threat to national security [...] and compromising Spain’s relations with other countries,” as stated in the deportation order.

The Moroccan national, who has no criminal record, was informed of the deportation order by Spain’s National Police on May 3. Sources familiar with the case said he spent the night at a Barcelona police precinct, and his lawyer, Fátima Zohra, said the deportation could be made effective at any time beginning on Tuesday.

The deportation order has angered Catalan nationalists, although for now there has been no official reaction from Rabat. “We are incensed at this new maneuver by the CNI,” said Àngel Colom, secretary of immigration for Convergència Democràtica de Catalunya (CDC) and director of Nous Catalans, a foundation that actively seeks to get immigrants to adhere to the Catalan nationalist cause.

“What is the CNI trying to achieve with this deportation of Noureddin Ziani?” wondered this association in a press release issued in Arabic and Catalan. “To strike fear into the hearts of all immigrants who little by little feel closer to the right to decide and to the pro-sovereignty process in Catalonia?” Nous Catalans was created by CDC, and Catalan regional premier Artur Mas inaugurated its headquarters in Santa Coloma de Gramenet in 2012.

Colom knows Ziani quite well. He appointed him director of the Catalan-Moroccan office within his department, and last November both men toured a few of Catalonia’s mosques to preach the virtues of Catalan independence together.

“A Catalan state can bring you greater wellbeing,” the faithful were told.

Ziani, a native of the northern Moroccan city of Oujda who has resided in Barcelona for the last 14 years, is also the longtime president of the Union of Islamic Cultural Centers of Catalonia (UCCIC), a Muslim association that teaches Arabic and provides financial assistance to families, especially during Ramadan. Until recently, it was the second-largest beneficiary of subsidies granted by the Moroccan migration ministry to groups in Spain (158,700 euros in three years).

In fact, Ziani and Colom are so close that Fundació Nous Catalans doubles as the headquarters for UCCIC. For years, Ziani, who was once an imam, acted as the unofficial right hand of the Moroccan consul in Barcelona, Ghoulam Maichane, with whom he used to tour Catalonia and the Balearics to talk to Moroccans living there. Ziani also maintained close ties with the Catalan Socialists (PSC) until this party lost power in the region. When the CDC-Unió bloc (CiU) won the November 2010 elections, Ziani moved closer to CDC.

Rabat is concerned about hypothetical secessions in Catalonia and Scotland, fearing such developments will create new arguments for Western Sahara’s Polisario Front, which seeks independence from Morocco. That is why pro-government media there regularly attack “the opportunists who kindle the secessionist flame.”

Catalan nationalists have claimed that this is a manoeuvre from the Madrid government designed to undermine separatism. Although the Spanish authorities have not provided any details of what the agent is alleged to have done, they have been quite emphatic about it.

The Minister of the Interior, Jorge Fernández Díaz, yesterday accused Noureddin Ziani of “promoting international terrorism”, "Salafism" and "radical Islam". "It has nothing to do with his activities proselytising for the cause of Catalan independence," added Fernández Díaz.

The day after the attack on Father Grégoire, Monsignor Cattenoz has spoken out strongly and denounces "people of the Muslim faith taking control of the district". The facts are taking on a political/religious dimension...

On Monday at around 8 pm, Father Grégoire from the parish of Saint-Jean was attacked by an individual. Struck on the face, the priest was unconscious on the ground until two other members of the parish arrived. This Tuesday morning at around 11 am, Monsignor Cattenoz, Archbishop of Avignon, denounced growing insecurity in the district of Saint-Ruf (while the local authority official in charge of public safety claims instead that there has been a decrease in crime in this sector), as well as the proliferation of thefts and threats towards members of the parish.

The leader of the Catholics in Vaucluse went even further: "People of the Muslim faith have progressively taken control of this district"... before proposing to create a committee bringing together representatives of the main religions, in order to calm the situation.

The Avignonnese Mohammed Moussaoui, president of the French Council of the Muslim Religion, also wants to calm things down: "Before highlighting adherence to one or another religion, we need to see if the attack was accompanied by words or gestures associated with the religion. Giving it a religious dimension seems counter-productive to me."

Meanwhile, politicians have not been slow to react.

The mayor of Avignon Marie-Josée Roig (UMP) said he was "dismayed by this indescribable act", recalling that "our republican compact cannot tolerate such violent acts perpetrated by some who have an unbearable sense of impunity". the deputy mayor of Orange Jacques Bompard (Ligue du Sud) [League of the South] calls it an "act of racism (in the sense of the penal code) with regard to a Catholic priest, which is also the consequence of the hatred which a certain Islamism propagates with regards to everything that is French and Christian."

The recent report about yet another grotesque Muslim child rape gang in Britain has provoked a flurry of pro-Muslim spin from the British media establishment. It emerged during this scandal that some of the girls involved had made complaints to the police about what was being done to them (being gang-raped, sexually tortured and coerced into prostitution) and the police did nothing. Social workers also knew what was going on and did nothing. The police and social workers have since apologised for failing to take action. But there's another group that should be hanging their heads in shame today: journalists. The Muslim rape gangs were known about in the affected areas long before the story broke in the national press. It was headline news in local papers in places like Yorkshire. Indeed, some of the newspapers were running campaigns demanding that police prosecute these crimes! It is standard practice for the major news outlets in London to scan the regional newspapers to see if there are any stories worth picking up. So they must have known about these goings-on, and chosen not to report them, for about a decade before the story finally surfaced after it could no longer be repressed. Britain's journalists, social workers and police should be in the dock alongside the Muslim rapists. But they won't be.

And now that their favourite perpetrators have been exposed and convicted, they are running spin to protect them.

The Telegraph, in a blog post that shamefully has had the comments turned off (seems to be standard practice on the Telegraph with any post related to Muslims/the EDL/Jews these days), contrives to blame Nick Griffin for the cover-up. Nick Griffin (leader of the British National Party) was one of the very few public figures who spoke about this problem long before it was publicly acknowledged. Admittedly, he did it only behind closed doors, no doubt to avoid prosecution. But he was secretly filmed by the BBC and prosecuted anyway for incitement to racial hatred. He only got off because Muslims aren't a race. Then shortly afterwards the government extended the incitement laws to cover religion too.

But now this pitiful coward in the Telegraph blames Nick Griffin for having issued a warning about the rape gang problem all those years before.

There's one more figure who played an important role in this saga. As long ago as 2001, Nick Griffin, the leader of the BNP, was making claims about Asian grooming gangs. In 2004 he repeated these allegations in a speech clandestinely recorded by the BBC for a TV documentary, Secret Agent. He was arrested and charged with inciting racial hatred.

Which is exactly what he was doing, of course. He was making his allegations to stir up ethnic strife. Right-thinking people, aware of the BNP's record as liars, presumed that these stories were just racist demagoguery. No doubt Griffin feels vindicated today. He has no right to: thanks in part to his thuggish intervention, the scandals were ignored – and the abuse continued.

Now that it can longer cover up the truth about its favourite minority, the Guardian moves quickly to do some spin for them. "Is child grooming and sexual abuse a race issue?" it says, sounding brave. Of course its answer to that question is no. It begins by acknowledging that both negroes and Asians are grossly represented in the statistics compared to their share of the population.

A 2011 study by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre looked at the 2,379 potential offenders caught grooming girls since 2008. Of 940 suspects whose race could be identified, 26% were Asian, 38% were white and 32% were recorded as unknown. Asians are roughly 7% of the population.

A report for the children's commissioner in 2012 found there were 1,514 perpetrators. Of these, 545 were white, 415 were Asian and 244 were black. The ethnicity of 21% of perpetrators was not recorded. Attempts to analyse the Asian figure further runs into problems. Just 35 of the 415 Asians are recorded as having Pakistani heritage and thus highly likely to be Muslim, and only five are recorded as being from a Bangladeshi background. The heritage of 366 of the Asian group is not stated in those figures.

But it concludes that "Asians" are over-represented because of their occupational profile.

However, the view in different parts of law enforcement is that it is wrong to take these figures and cases and say the race or religion of the perpetrator leads to them committing these crimes.

A more credible link, says one senior source involved in bringing the criminals to justice, are their occupations. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source said the demography of certain areas and the makeup of the night-time economy explained the over-representation of Asian offenders.

The source said: "Young vulnerable girls migrate to the night-time economy, where they come across taxi drivers and people working in takeaways, who are more likely to be Asian. It is better to focus on the professions of offenders, not their race or religion."

It also cites the abuse of an "Asian" girl by one of the gangs as proof that it is not
a race issue. Of course, they are actually correct. It's not a race issue. It's a religion issue. Islam is a religion that specifically sanctions the sexual enslavement of non-Muslim females and its supposed founder, the so-called prophet Mohammed, is described in the standard Muslim texts as having kept slaves, including sexual slaves. Since Muslim morality is defined by the reported actions of this so-called "Perfect Man", it should hardly be surprising that his followers today have an above-average tendency to engage in these activities. But that is a possibility that the establishment media dare not even hint at. Even they put on their fake bravado and broach the race issue, the religion issue is never mentioned. I would hazard a guess that the "Asian" victim mentioned was Sikh or Hindu, rather than Muslim, but that's information that I don't think we'll be getting from the establishment media any time soon.

How absurd is it to say that there are people who have an ethical code that sanctions sexual enslavement of outgroup members and then they in fact engage in the sexual enslavement of outgroup members, but somehow the two facts are completely unrelated? If Nazis had an ideology that sanctioned the killing of Jews, then went around actually killing Jews, somehow I don't think we'd be hearing any spiel about "a tiny minority" of Nazis and their ideology magically being disconnected from their actions.
